How do I connect Odoo to Mistral Le Chat via MCP?

Connect Mistral Le Chat to your Odoo instance with the Odoo MCP Pro server. You add Odoo as a custom MCP connector, and from then on you can search, read, and update your business data in plain language, no CSV exports, no switching between tabs. Good to know: Mistral renamed Le Chat to Vibe in May 2026. It still lives at chat.mistral.ai, and connectors work the same way.

 

You need: a Mistral account with admin rights in your workspace (custom connectors can only be added by an admin; on Free, Pro, and Student plans the account owner is the admin) and an Odoo login.

Setup

1. Log in to chat.mistral.ai and to your Odoo instance (both in your browser).
2. Open the Connectors page and click + Add Connector.
3. Switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
4. Connector name: Odoo (no spaces or special characters). Server URL: https://mcp.pantalytics.com/mcp
5. Click Connect. Mistral detects the login method automatically and opens the Odoo MCP Pro login. Sign in and approve access.
6. Wait until the connector shows as connected.

Try it out

Open a new conversation, make sure the Odoo connector is enabled in the tools menu, and ask: "Odoo MCP server info" — you should see your database details in the reply.

What can you do with Le Chat and Odoo?

Once the connection is active, you can ask Le Chat questions directly about your Odoo data. For example:

Compatibility

The Odoo MCP Pro connector supports Odoo 14 through 19+. Newer versions (19+) use the JSON/2 API; older versions (14–18) are supported via the XML-RPC protocol. You choose whether to use the hosted version (5-minute setup, no technical knowledge required) or self-host via GitHub for full control over your data.

Security

Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.1, your API key stays server-side and is never visible to end users. Access rights are enforced through the existing Odoo ACLs and record rules — Le Chat only sees what the logged-in user is allowed to see.
