Connect ChatGPT to Odoo

Connect ChatGPT to your Odoo instance in a few clicks via the Odoo MCP Pro connector. Search, read, and edit your business data with natural language, no CSV exports, no switching tabs.

Connect ChatGPT to your Odoo instance with the Odoo MCP Pro connector. Once connected, you can search, read, and edit your business data using plain language, no CSV exports, no switching between tabs.

You need: a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan (custom MCP connectors are not available on Free, Plus, or Pro) and an Odoo login. Workspace admin permission is required to enable Developer Mode.

Setup

  1. Log in to chatgpt.com and to your Odoo instance (both in your browser).
  2. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings.
  3. Toggle on Developer Mode.
  4. Back on the Apps page, click Create app (next to the Back button).
  5. Name: Odoo. MCP Server URL: https://mcp.pantalytics.com/mcp. Optionally add an icon and description.
  6. Check "I understand and want to continue" and click Create.
  7. Wait for the confirmation: "Odoo is now connected."

The connector works in chatgpt.com on web and in the ChatGPT desktop app. Mobile support for custom MCP connectors is rolling out, availability depends on your workspace configuration.

Try it out

Open a new chat, click the + icon in the message box, choose More, and add Odoo. Then ask: "Odoo MCP server info" — you should see your database details in the reply.

What can you do with ChatGPT and Odoo?

Once the connection is active, you can ask ChatGPT questions directly about your Odoo data. For example:

  • "Show all unpaid invoices above €5,000 from Q4"
  • "Which leads have been open for more than two weeks in the CRM?"
  • "Create a new sales order for customer Acme with product X"
  • "What is the current stock status of item Y?"

ChatGPT queries your Odoo instance directly via the MCP connection. No technical queries required on your part.

Compatibility

The Odoo MCP Pro connector supports Odoo 14 through 19+. Newer versions (19+) use the JSON/2 API; older versions (14–18) are supported via the XML-RPC protocol. You choose whether to use the hosted version (5-minute setup, no technical knowledge required) or self-host via GitHub for full control over your data.

Security

The connector is built with security as a starting point. Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.1, your API key stays server-side and is never visible to end users. Access rights are enforced through the existing Odoo ACLs and record rules — ChatGPT only sees what the logged-in user is allowed to see.
