Is there a free MCP server for Odoo?
Yes. Odoo ships one itself on Odoo Online and from Enterprise 20, there are open source servers you run yourself, and hosted services such as MCP Pro have a free tier of 50 calls a day.
None of the three is free in every sense. Self-hosting costs time, the hosted tier has a limit, and Odoo's own server only reads by default and does not run on Community.
Is the MCP server inside Odoo free?
Yes, it is part of your Odoo subscription. You get it on Odoo Online and from Enterprise 20, not on Community. By default it can only read; you switch on writing per server action, and then for everyone at once.

On your own laptop you are done in a few minutes: Claude Desktop talks to your Odoo. For a team it is a different story. You need a server with HTTPS and OAuth, and Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot each sign in a little differently. That is where the time goes.
Which hosted MCP server for Odoo has a free tier?

A call is one action by the AI in Odoo, such as a search or a record update. "Which quotes have been open for more than two weeks?" takes a few. For looking something up now and then, 50 a day is enough. If you work with it daily, you will go over.
Does a free MCP server work on Odoo Online?
